Psychology Department

Accelerated B.A./M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Ambitious undergraduate psychology majors at Franciscan could pursue the Accelerated B.A./M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. This CACREP-accredited program spans five years by admitting second-semester juniors with a minimum 3.3 GPA. Students prepare for becoming licensed professional counselors with advanced courses in mental health appraisal, group dynamics, psychological assessment, lifestyle development, and ethics. Adding a Christian Counseling Concentration is possible. During the master’s year, students will complete 600 hours of professional internship, including 240 direct service hours.
