With a variety of options for an undergraduate psychology degree in Minnesota, students can choose a program that is right for them. There are different ways you can earn your degree. You can choose a part time or full time option, as well as evening and weekend degree programs. The Psychology Department
Founded in 1947, The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) is a public coed regional university in Duluth. The university is part of the University of Minnesota System. It offers:

Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology
The Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology (BAS) program explores the science of the mind and human nature by examining mental states and processes and how they affect human behavior. Coursework covers the ways in which human research applies to real life situations. The ultimate goal is resolving real human problems. Psychology students gain essential theoretical and practical skills required to become a practicing psychologist or to pursue graduate school. The BAS in Psychology Departmental Goals include the following abilities:
- Describe and exhibit a working knowledge of key concepts and theories in psychological domains
- Utilizing methods of scientific inquiry and critical analysis to interpret psychological phenomenon

Founded in 1959, The University of Minnesota Morris (UMM) is a public coed liberal arts college in Morris. It’s a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. UMM is a part of the University of Minnesota System.

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Curriculum for the BA in Psychology focuses on scientific methods and applying them to both human and non-human behaviors and mental processes. It provides students with methodological skills, practice in applying these skills, and an introduction to core areas of psychology. The major in Psychology provides coursework to prepare students for a wide range of careers as well as graduate and professional studies. Competencies for the psychology curriculum includes the following abilities:
- Strong Knowledge Base in Psychology to understand psychological phenomena that is related to behavior and mental processes and how they affect both
- Scientific Inquiry and Critical thinking in the use of scientific reasoning to:
- interpret psychological phenomena
- demonstrate psychology literacy
- use innovative and integrative thinking and problem solving
- Skills to interpret, design, and conduct psychological research and maintain awareness of ethical issues in psychology
- Communication skills to demonstrate effective writing, show effective presentation skills and effective discussion skills
- Information and Technological Literacy with exposure to psychological statistical packages and the ability to utilize databases that relate to psychology
Students are required completion of 120 credits to graduate with a Psychology major.

The Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology curriculum studies behavioral development from the prenatal period to maturity in the areas of:

The Institute of Child Development offers a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science with a major in Psychology and a minor in child psychology through the College of Liberal Arts. The BA program places a stronger emphasis on the applied aspects of Child Psychology. The BA requires field study participation or directed research experience to give students practical experience in the Child Psychology field. Students can choose courses in:

The University of St. Thomas is a private Catholic liberal arts university located in Saint Paul and Minneapolis. The university was founded in 1885 as a Catholic seminary named after Thomas Aquinas, the Catholic theologian and philosopher.
