Counseling and Psychology Degrees Offered at the University of Central Florida
With more than 220 degree programs and 13 colleges, UCF has a degree for every interest. More specifically, UCF offers 99 bachelor’s degrees, 89 master’s degrees and 34 doctoral degrees with three specialist programs. Psychology is number one on UCF’s list of top 10 majors. The College of Sciences houses the Department of Psychology and is one of the largest colleges at the University of Central Florida. The College of Sciences explores the wonders of the natural world within its 15 undergraduate degree programs. Students can choose from a variety of different psychology offerings including several specialized focuses at the undergraduate level while obtaining a B.S. in Psychology. A psychology degree at the undergraduate level can also be completed entirely online. Students can choose to minor in psychology or obtain a certificate in behavioral forensics. The Honors in Major (HIM) Program is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors.

Master’s students have some of the same opportunities as their undergraduate counterparts with the option to obtain an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a research and thesis focus or an applied pre-licensure track that is non-thesis. Other options include an M.A. in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology and an M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Counseling degrees at the master’s level include:

The University of Central Florida Application Requirements
First-year undergraduate students seeking admissions at the University of Central Florida must have an average high school GPA of 4.15, an SAT or ACT score of 1330 or 29, official high school transcripts or satisfactory GED scores, an application essay which is not mandatory but very strongly recommended, a $30 application fee and an official online application. UCF accepts applications via the online portal available on the admissions page or via a Common App submission. Graduate students must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, a minimum GPA of 3.0, satisfactory GRE or GMAT scores for programs that require them, a research report expressing capstone completion, and an online application. Tuition and Financial Aid
Undergraduate students who are residents of the state can expect to pay $212.28 per credit hour while out-of-state residents will pay $748.89 per credit hour. Graduate students who are residents of Florida will pay $369.65 per credit hour while out-of-state residents will pay $1,194.05 per credit hour. Undergraduate students participating in any of the psychology tracks will pay a different rate for each credit hour. For in-state students, it will cost $212.28 per credit hour and $748.89 per credit hour. Undergraduate students at UCF can apply for financial aid and receive it in the form of a scholarship, loan, or grant. On average, 41% of first-year students receive scholarships totaling a reward amount of $2,810. For those who have applied to a financial assistance plan, the average amount of aid provided is $12,060 with 75% of students obtaining loans. Federal grant awards were dispersed to 31% of first-year students with an average award amount of $4,776.
