Northcentral University (NU) was established in 1996 as a private, for-profit university. Although the university is based in Prescott Valley, Arizona, the degrees are earned completely online. With several accreditations NU is considered a provider of excellent online education. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

Northern Arizona University (NAU) is a public university located in Flagstaff Arizona. With thirty-six satellite campuses and enrollment of over 26,ooo students, the school has the advantages of a major research university. The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education classifies NAU as a research university with high research activity. NAU also offers undergraduate students at the Flagstaff campus what they call a “Pledge Promise”, which means they will owe the same tuition for four consecutive years with no increases.

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

All undergraduate courses in the Psychology department adhere to the curriculum standards set forth by the American Psychological Association. In addition to the basic course work required for a liberal arts degree, students seeking a BA in Psychology are expected to complete two years of a modern language (other than English). This degree prepares students for a variety of career options or advancement to a graduate program.

Bachelor of Psychological Science

The psychological science program is designed for students who are looking for the scientific preparation necessary for their graduate education. Whether they hope to pursue this education in psychology or a related field this degree offers the flexibility needed. This program seeks to provide students with a broad understanding of human behavior and mental processes by providing a theoretical and historical framework in all the major areas: clinical psychology, cognition, human development, social psychology, physiological psychology, and health psychology.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

Students in the Bachelor of Science program will also complete the required liberal arts educations courses. They will also take a host of courses in different topics related to psychology. BS students must take additional credits in both mathematics, research and science based curriculum. NAU is proud to offer a more intensive focus on research by additional coursework and hands on work with faculty. This prepares students for a future in applying their skills to their trade.
