Founded in 1869, Dillard University is a private liberal arts college in New Orleans. The school is affiliated with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Bachelor of Science in Psychology
The BS in Psychology degree program is designed to offer a solid background in psychological science that will prepare students for graduate work in psychology and for entrance into the job market. In addition to an extensive curriculum in traditional psychological studies, psychology students participate in clinical and research activities that give them practical experiences in the application of psychological principles. Student learning outcomes for this rigorous program include:
- Produce psychology graduates who demonstrate knowledge and skills in the scientific and applied areas of psychology
- Prepare students for acceptance into graduate and professional schools of psychology and related fields
- Prepare students for undergraduate entry-level careers that require a background in the knowledge of psychology
To complete this program, students must complete120 credit hours including:
- 45 hours in psychology coursework
- 41 credits of general education core courses
- 16 credits in related courses
- 18 credits of electives

Louisiana College
Division of Human Behavior
Louisiana College (LC) is a private, Baptist coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences with selected professional programs. The 81 acre campus is located in the Alexandria-Pineville area of central Louisiana. It has an enrollment of over 1,300 students. Although the college is affiliated the Louisiana Baptist Convention, students need not be a member of that denomination to attend. In the 2015 edition of Best Colleges, Louisiana College ranked 74th for Southern Regional Colleges.
The Division of Human Behavior at LC puts faith at the center of learning to help students grow in their faith while preparing them for a career of serving others. Within the Division of Human Behavior, students may pursue degrees in:
