Union College

Department of Psychology

Founded in 1795, Union College is a private coed college with a total undergraduate enrollment of 2,246 students on its  campus in Barbourville. The college offers a wide range of disciplines and interdisciplinary programs in the liberal arts and engineering, as well as academic, athletic, cultural, and social activities. Most students also have the opportunity to study abroad and participate in undergraduate research and community service.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

Coursework for the Union College psychology major explores the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Students are in small classes, experiencing enriching internship opportunities and collaboration on research with faculty. They can do independent fieldwork and research with their professors for course credit during the academic year and through paid research internships during the summer. Many students complete independent projects for course credit with independent fieldwork, research or thesis. Internships experiences allow students practical experience in the field. Department of Psychology

University of Kentucky is a public coed institution that was founded in 1865. It has an undergrad enrollment of 21,441 students and is located in Lexington, about 80 miles south of Cincinnati. The university offers over 120 master’s programs, in:

College of the Arts and Sciences

Founded in 1798, The University of Louisville is a public coed institution and a member of the Kentucky State University System. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 15,957 students on the 345-acre campus in Louisville. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

The BA in Psychology degree  program requires students to take supporting courses in other social science departments. This helps them acquire basic core knowledge of psychology. The BA requires completion of Psychology 201 for entry into the program. A minimum total of 121 credit hours is required for completion of the program including:

  • 8 credits of Biology requirements

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

University of the Cumberlands

Department of Psychology

Founded in 1888, The University of the Cumberlands is a private coed liberal arts college located in Williamsburg. The school, known as Cumberland College until  7, 2005, is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention, the Kentucky affiliate of the Southern Baptist Convention. In 2015, US News & World Report ranked University of the Cumberlands 92nd for the Liberal Arts Colleges in the Southern Region of the United States.

Western Kentucky University is a public university in Bowling Green. The Commonwealth of Kentucky founded it in 1906. Enrollment is about 17,500.
